Highlighting your recommended plan:
- Guides indecisive customers toward best option
- Increases conversions to higher-value tiers
- Reduces decision fatigue
- Matches customer expectations (middle tier usually best value)
💡 Data: Tables with a highlighted "Most Popular" tier see 30% higher conversions to that specific plan compared to unhighlighted tables.
How to Highlight a Column
1 Select Your Column
In the table builder, click on the column you want to highlight (usually the middle one).
2 Enable Highlighting
Check the box labeled Highlight this column or Mark as popular.
3 Customize Badge Text
Popular badge text options:
- "Most Popular" (classic)
- "Best Value" (value-focused)
- "Recommended" (guidance)
- "Best Seller" (social proof)
- "Our Choice" (editorial)
Visual Highlighting Effects
When highlighted, your column gets:
- Badge: Eye-catching label at top
- Different background: Subtle color difference
- Border: Slight border or shadow
- Scale: Slightly larger than other columns
- Button style: More prominent CTA button
Which Plan to Highlight?
Best Practices
- Middle tier: 70% of businesses highlight the middle option
- Best margin: Highlight plan with best profit margin
- Most purchased: If you have data, highlight actual best-seller
- Target customer: Highlight plan for your ideal customer
⚠️ Don't: Highlight the cheapest or most expensive plan. This rarely converts well. Customers expect the middle ground to be "just right".
Testing Highlighted Plans
A/B test which plan to highlight:
- Create two identical tables
- Highlight different tiers in each
